As you can see, Hong Kong and most of the modernized eastern Asian countries have extremely well placed best practices because they've dealt with other outbreaks before like SARS and MERS. They don't mess around with protocols in these types of situations, and the actions they take WORK
Conversely, take a look at the growth graph for the USA:
At this point, you should be more terrified of having a package come to you from California or New York than Hong Kong.
Knowledge and data is power.
Ignorance will cause you to act irrationally to your own detriment.
Don't let your biases cloud your judgement without facts.
